A 3 HP water ring vacuum pump (Three phase pump) is often used to prime larger pumps. As the name suggests, it is also used to create a ‘vacuum‘ by enabling the evacuation of air and is therefore widely used for applications such as priming of large pumps, deaeration of suction pipes and chambers, twist drilling machines, and removal of water from pulp. Layer, labeling, bottle filling, de-vaporizing, drying, evaporation, distillation, filtration, sterilization, condensation, degasification, sucking gas, and extrusion machines.

Water Ring Vacuum Pump / Liquid Ring Pump

A liquid-ring pump is a rotating positive-displacement pump.

They are commonly used as vacuum pumps, but can also be used as gas compressors. Liquid-ring pumps function similarly to rotary vane pumps, the difference being that the vanes are integral to the rotor and churn the rotating ring of liquid to form a compression-chamber seal. They are an inherently low-friction design, with the rotor being the only moving part. Sliding friction is limited to shaft seals. Liquid-ring pumps are usually driven by an induction motor.
